In plain language
Something has grown, spread or increased since the last scan. It is a description of movement over time, and how much it matters depends entirely on what the thing is — your doctor puts that number in context.
Where you’ll see this
Follow-up impressions, often with a measurement then and now.
Your report may word it “Interval progression”, “Increased” or “Interval increase”. These mean the same thing.
Questions worth asking your doctor
- Compared with my last scan, is this better, worse, or the same?
- How much change would matter enough to do something about it?
- When should the next scan be, and what would you be looking for?
