In plain language
Identical to the previous scan, as far as the images can tell. It carries no judgement about whether the finding is good or bad — only that it is doing nothing new.
Where you’ll see this
Follow-up reports, throughout the findings and the impression.
Your report may word it “Not significantly changed” or “Essentially unchanged”. These mean the same thing.
Questions worth asking your doctor
- Compared with my last scan, is this better, worse, or the same?
- How much change would matter enough to do something about it?
- When should the next scan be, and what would you be looking for?
